So let's face it, with everything that happened in 2020, I'm sure the large majority of us watched a bunch of Netflix shows. For me personally, the way characters dress has a huge influence on whether or not I'll actually click and start watching the show.
This won't exclusively be Netflix originals, just from shows that are or have been on Netflix!
With that being said, I have a list of six fashion icons - yes, SIX, just because I'm an indecisive Libra and couldn't narrow it down to an odd number (but maybe I'm the only one who prefers groups in odd numbers)!
As you can see, I'm very drawn to dramatic, luxurious, Parisian, and boujee outfit styles!
The Queen B herself - how could I not start his off with Blair Waldorf? I mean, she was the best character in Gossip Girl! Her style is so Parisian inspired, it makes me want to buy myself lace Gucci gloves and a silk scarf around my neck while I hatch out the ultimate plan of revenge.
I HAD to put Fallon Carrington next, as she and Blair are similar in so many ways - so if you love Gossip Girls, you'll definitely love Dynasty. They are both rich women who know when to play dirty to get what they want, but Fallon has the boujee businesswoman style down to a T! She's classy and lavish, while still being a badass B!
Speaking of badass women in business - hellooooo Cookie Lyon! She is the definition of boujee and luxury. Every one of her outfits it gorgeous and fun - I would love to wear any one of them while sipping some expensive cognac on a yacht, ahhh what a dream!
How could I not include the talk of this Fall season, Emily from Emily in Paris! Although I thought the show was quite cringy and cheesy, the fashion was what pulled me in. Every scene I studied what Emily and all the other characters wore, so that one day I can live the Parisian style dream!
Katherine's style in The Duchess is expensive and boujee - there's no other way to put it. I love the bright colors she incorporates and the way that every outfit is accessorized perfectly with a designer handbag and statement jewelry.
Last but not least, the Queen, Moira Rose from Schitt's Creek. Although her wardrobe is filled with neutrals, her outfits are just so LOUD! I love how every fit incorporates various textures and patterns to make them stand out.
What character do you love to take fashion inspo from? Let me know in the comments!
